This all-inclusive, 400 room resort is located in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Winning a design competition, DCM was tasked with renovating the existing rooms, pool and common areas and to add 50 additional keys in a new “preferred” section of the property. The approach was to alter some of the original Mayan-inspired architectural details to give the spaces a more contemporary look; opting to use authentic Mexican decor to convey a sense of place to the guests. Along with an updated night club, theater, buffet, spa and wedding venue, DCM worked with a team of experts to propose a new water park as part of the pool renovations.
